Papillon Powder Manufacturers Sdn.Bhd. (Formerly known as ICI-NOF Powder Coatings (M) Sdn. Bhd.) was incorporated in 1989 as a joint venture between two globally known companies i.e. ICI of UK and NOF Corp of Japan with the mission to provide powder coating products to the Japanese customers in the domestic market as well as to cater for export market needs.
In March 2002, Papillon-W Holdings (M) Sdn Bhd. acquires the entire paid up capital of ICI-NOF Powder Coatings (M) Sdn. Bhd. Subsequently in January 2003 the company changed its name to Papillon Powder Manufacturers Sdn. Bhd. in order to reflect the change in management. Although Papillon-W Holdings (M) Sdn. Bhd. acquired the company, the fundamentals of the company remain unchanged. At the end of 2003, the Company has transferred its entire share from Papillon-W Holdings (M) Sdn. Bhd. to its ultimate shareholders.
The manufacturing plant is located in Shah Alam and equipped with state of the art plant and machinery with the capability of producing more than 2000 metric tons per annum. We will continue our good service towards our customers throughout the world by producing the best quality products, to meet customer’s satisfaction. We strongly believe that customer’s needs are our priority!

Product Range – Indoor Application
Epoxy Powder (EP series)
They are primarily use as functional coatings for substrate protection where inherent toughness, corrosion resistance, flexibility and adhesion are required. However their limitation is their poor weather ability and over baking resistance. Its supreme advantage is its excellent resistance to chemicals and solvents. Ideally use on automobile parts such as engine block and coils; fusion bonded epoxy on water valve piping, laboratory benches and shelving, industrial machineries, etc. Gloss levels range from matt to high gloss.
Polyester-Epoxy Hybrid (HB series)
It is formulated to give a glossy or satin finish with good flow out, over bake yellowing resistance and mechanical properties. Offers excellent flexibility, corrosion and chemical resistance. The outstanding decorative and protective properties of hybrid series are utilized in wide range of indoor applications, include domestic appliances such as microwave ovens, toaster, home and office furniture, cable trunking and tray, light fixtures, shelving systems, machinery, etc.
Product Range – Outdoor Application
Polyester-Urethane (PU series)
Offers outstanding film appearance and toughness with superior weathering properties. They also exhibit superior chip, mar and scuff resistance in addition to corrosion resistance and chemical resistance. It is mainly used for outdoor applications like fences, poles and garden furniture due to its excellent weathering characteristics. They are best applied on home appliances such as air-conditioner compressor, washing machine, refrigerator, etc. Gloss level range from semi gloss to high gloss.
Polyester-TGIC free (PR series) or
Polyester-TGIC (PT series)
A thermosetting powder coating based on saturated polyester resins that is cured with a TGIC-free cross linker for PR series or TGIC curing agent for PT series, specially selected for exterior application. Its good flow out and good atmospheric ageing resistance further enhanced itself as a highly decorative and durable for outdoor environment. Gloss level range from satin to high gloss and applicable for outdoor furniture such as architectural hardware, garden furniture, air-conditioner outdoor unit, signboards, etc. Polyester-TGIC free (PR series) with enhanced charging properties and no hazard labelling required projected the PR series range as a non-toxic environmental friendly protective coating.
